Is it possible to get an O-1 visa for a student?

It is generally not possible for a student to qualify for an O-1 visa. O-1 visas are nonimmigrant visas that are available to individuals with extraordinary ability in the arts, sciences, education, business, or athletics, or who have a record of extraordinary achievement in the motion picture or television industry. In order to qualify for an O-1 visa, an individual must demonstrate that they have a level of expertise and achievement that is significantly above what is normally encountered in their field.

While it is possible for students to have exceptional abilities or achievements, they are generally not considered to have the level of expertise or recognition required for an O-1 visa. Instead, students who want to come to the United States to study typically need to apply for a student visa, such as an F-1 or J-1 visa. These visas are specifically designed for individuals who are coming to the United States to study at a college or university, and they have different eligibility requirements and application processes.
